Rock legends Mötley Crüe will “kickstart” Winnipeg’s summer at the second annual Rockin’ Thunder at Princess Auto Stadium July 4. Presented by True North Sports + Entertainment and The Winnipeg Football Club, the Saturday night rock spectacle will also feature openers Three Days Grace, Halestorm and JJ Wilde. Tickets are on sale Friday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.ca.

Rockin’ Thunder is part of an epic summer weekend of live music, kicking off Friday, July 3 with the previously announced Country Thunder, headlined by global superstar Kane Brown and multi-platinum country superstar Bailey Zimmerman, and joined by multi-platinum chart topper Koe Wetzel and singer-songwriter Robyn Ottolini.

“Once again, we are making Winnipeg a must-see, must-stop summer music destination, with two star-studded country and rock lineups as part of our second annual Thunder Stadium Concert Series,” said Kevin Donnelly, True North’s Sr. Vice President of Venues & Entertainment. “Mötley Crüe celebrates their 45th anniversary this year and we are thrilled to invite Winnipeggers to this party to experience monumental made-in-Manitoba memories at Princess Auto Stadium.”

“Last year, we put Winnipeg back on the stadium festival circuit map with our inaugural Thunder Stadium Concert Series – and fans responded enthusiastically,” said Wade Miller, Winnipeg Football Club President and CEO. “We are looking forward to two more epic outdoor performances this summer that will further establish Country Thunder and Rockin’ Thunder as entertainment mainstays in our region.”

With a rebellious signature blend of heavy metal, hard rock and over-the-top on-stage theatrics, Mötley Crüe remains a top global draw 45 years into their career. Mötley Crüe has sold out countless tours around the world and pioneered the Las Vegas rock residency with a sold-out run in 2012. The group wrapped up a two-year world stadium tour in 2023 and in 2025, celebrated the 40th anniversary of their third album Theatre of Pain with their third Vegas residency. The first album featuring both Gontier and Walst, Alienation, was released in January 2025. Visit threedaysgrace.com for more about the band.

A fixture of American rock radio, Grammy-award-winning Halestorm emerged with a signature sound of high-energy metal/post-grunge/modern alternative rock featuring strong melodic hooks in their 2009 self-titled debut album.
